Real Madrid take on Man City, Barcelona meet PSG – Champions League preview

Real Madrid are set to play against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter finals, while Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will meet Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Los Blancos were not very convincing in midweek against RB Leipzig but sealed a 1-1 draw to progress to the last eight with a 2-1 aggregate victory.

Meanwhile, the Catalans outclassed Napoli 3-1 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys to secure a 4-2 aggregate success.

Atletico Madrid shocked Inter Milan with a thrilling 3-2 penalty shoot-out triumph after the last 16 tie ended 2-2 even after extra time.

Football fans who cannot travel can watch all the exciting Champions League games live online from the comfort of their homes.

Who will reach the semi-finals?

Real Madrid vs Manchester City

Real Madrid were far from their best against RB Leipzig in the Round of 16, and now they face the toughest challenge against Manchester City next month.

Pep Guardiola’s side have been impeccable in the new year since the 1-0 loss at Aston Villa in December. Given their excellent form, City are expected to prevail in the quarter-finals.

Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain

Barcelona have had an underwhelming 2023-24 season as they are sitting third in La Liga with eight points behind leaders Real Madrid.

The Catalans are dealing with a lot of financial problems and also face uncertainty over their on-field future, with Xavi leaving as manager in the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain also have their issues but they still have Kylian Mbappe in their ranks and so they are expected to win.

Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund

Diego Simeone’s side defeated an Inter Milan side that are flying at the top of Serie A table.

Atletico haven’t been very consistent in La Liga this season, but their recent Champions League victory should give them a massive confidence boost.

We are backing the Spanish side to win against Borussia Dortmund as they have better players, a deeper squad and a top manager in Diego Simeone.
